Ben Gettinger, Mark L. Montgomery and Aaron Staton are the final additions to the new cast of Mamma Mia!. They will begin performances in the hit tuner on October 20, the same day as previously announced stars Carolee Carmello, Sara Kramer, Liz McCartney, Judy McLane, Daniel McDonald and David Beach.
Gettinger is set to play Sky's best friend Pepper in the musical. A recent graduate of The Boston Conservatory, his theater credits include Side Show, Evita, Fiddler on the Roof, Grease and Twelfth Night.
Montgomery will play Bill Austin, one of the possible fathers of Kramer's Sophie. Montgomery recently made his New York stage debut in Rose Rage, currently running at the Duke on 42nd Street. His Chicago credits include The Time of Your Life at Steppenwolf, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and 12 productions with Chicago Shakespeare Theatre including Rose Rage.
A 2004 graduate of the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama, Staton's theater credits include Jesus Christ Superstar and Oliver. He will play the role of Sky in Mamma Mia!.
Mamma Mia! currently stars Dee Hoty as Donna Sheridan, Jenny Fellner as Sophie Sheridan, Harriett D. Foy as Rosie, Tamara Bernier as Tanya, Joe Machota as Sky, John Hillner as Sam, Adam LeFevre as Bill and Michael Winther as Harry. Their final performance in the show will be on October 18.
